# Favorite Rooms and Saved Groups: One Tap Away

> The bottom bar holds your four most-used rooms as tabs and, on its second page, up to four saved groups you can rebuild with a tap.

Somos InControl's bottom bar puts your most-used rooms right at your fingertips. Instead of opening the menu every time you want to switch speakers, you reach up to four rooms directly from the tabs at the bottom of the screen. The tabs aren't a separate list you maintain — they're driven by the order of rooms in your menu, so one reorder sets everything.

## Room tabs

The bottom bar shows up to **4 rooms** as tabs — always the top 4 rooms in your menu list. Move a room up the list and it climbs into the bar; move it down and it falls out. If you have 4 rooms or fewer, they're all there.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the menu">
    Tap the menu button in the top-left corner. Every room on the current system is listed, with a divider after the first four.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Hold and drag a room">
    Press and hold any room until it lifts, then drag it to a new position and release.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Arrange your top 4">
    Whatever sits above the divider becomes the bottom tabs the moment you drop it. The order is saved and persists across launches.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Swipe left on a room in the menu to rename it. Renaming changes the room's name in the Sonos® system, so the official app sees it too.
</Tip>

## Saved groups (second page of the bar)

The button at the right-hand end of the bar flips it between **Rooms** and **Saved Groups**. Saved groups are combinations of rooms you've grouped together and saved as a favourite — "Downstairs", "Whole House" — up to **4** of them.

* **Save one** — group the rooms you want (see [Grouping Rooms](/rooms/groups)), then tap **Save as favourite** at the bottom of the Group Rooms sheet.
* **Recall one** — tap its tab. The app rebuilds that group on your speakers: it joins the rooms, and a spinner runs over the bar for a few seconds while the speakers settle. If rooms that aren't part of the favourite are already grouped with it, the app asks whether to keep or drop them rather than guessing.
* **Rename one** — press and hold its tab.
* **Remove one** — open Group Rooms on that group and tap **Remove from favourites**.

## Switching rooms

* **Bottom tabs** — tap any of the up to 4 room tabs to jump straight there, or swipe left and right across the room pages.
* **Menu** — tap the menu button, then any room in the list. This reaches every room, including ones beyond the top 4.
